Positive lifestyle changes are attainable; even the slightest change for the better can improve your outlook. Many of us are confused into thinking that, in order to affect an improvement in our current lifestyle, we must wait for specific conditions. The right condition exists if your current lifestyle does not excite and motivate you. Sometimes we even convince ourselves that we don’t need to change—it is easier to ignore the indications, or we might find that it is more comforting to compare ourselves to people who have more issues. The sad thing is that, when we avoid changing our approach to life…life continues to direct us to the same junction, because in essence, our thought patterns have chosen the destinations for us.
Positive life style changes open the door to improved emotional and physical health. These changes inspire a new awareness of worth and value. So instead of spending time mentally attempting to avoid the things you fear, allow your mind to generate new, productive ideas that inspire you to seek new challenges. Change your focus and give yourself many more reasons to love your life. Ultimately, the positive changes will allow you to attract more and more things that coincide with a lifestyle that makes you happy.
There are signals that indicate when it is time to let go of the thought patterns that are not productive. You might have heard someone say, “Every time I try to move ahead, something pushes me back.” Well, believe it or not, making such a statement or thinking that non-productive thought can actually summon unwanted events into your life. A sure way of attracting positive events is to create a daily affirmation. Here is one that I use: “I will create a good day today. “ That simple affirmation has the power to line up events that coincide with the desired outcome.
As you create the schedule for workouts that sculpt and tone your body, don’t forget to enhance your mental outlook. Add a large helping of gratitude and appreciation, as well as a daily celebration of accomplishments. Learn to appreciate small accomplishments as you progress toward your goals; after all, small strides will create the excitement and motivation needed to project you to your ultimate goal. Use your brain power to surf the body’s cells and organs, especially after a good workout, or just before going to sleep. This surfing does not require a computer—ten minutes of deep breathing and slow exhaling is all you need. This is your opportunity to thank and reward your body–by relieving stress, supplying extra oxygen, as well as enhancing the regeneration of healthy cells.
Positive, productive thinking—use it to contruct a free flowing path to all the wonderful adventures that await you in life.
